Jesse Hernandez
Red Power Divas Liaison
Jesse Hernandez brings many years of community service experience to the Building Peaceful Families board. In addition to working with organizations that enrich the lives of his own children, Jesse also believes in cultivating relationships that help keep our communities strong and connected. For nine years Jesse has enjoyed participating in the Red Power Divas, a BPF program that promotes health, fitness, and a balanced lifestyle. As an active member of RPD, Jesse shares his experiences in training for half and full marathons, and provides an exuberant voice in supporting the team at practice sessions and RPD sponsored events. Jesse also participates with the men’s ministries and Reaching Out Center at his local church, sharing his life experiences with other men who strive to become better contributors in their own families' lives and helping them learn how to be active participants in the community.
In his professional life, Jesse works for Team San Jose as a Senior Event Services Manager in the Theater Department. TSJ is a non-profit group that manages the City of San Jose’s Convention Center and Cultural Facilities. Jesse has more than 28 years of experience working in event management and facility operations at all 7 venues TSJ manages. He has been recognized for outstanding customer service and has received several leadership awards.

When not working, Jesse loves spending time with his wife and, family. He enjoys camping and hiking in the Santa Cruz Mountains, exploring the California coast and local hot spots that require physical activity to reach and enjoy the views of the Silicon Valley. When time permits, he takes pleasure in training for sporting events that challenge him physically and spiritually. Jesse Hernandez is excited to become an active member of Building Peaceful Families.
